My eye fixates on the detailed face at the top. Just as I begin to think this composition does not work my view is suddenly and dramatically jerked into the star that is the center. The vertical stripes lead me back up again onto another positive shape. Like a yoyo I go up and down until my eye is caught by a vertical stripe that leads me into the wonder world of negative shapes. The deviant work is like a toy that plays with the viewer, a rare treasure.
