[Quest] Dawn of a New Era

“I wasn’t expecting to see a pup up here so soon,” Cleo mused, observing the dark Dakino across the mountainside. They had heard that there had been a few births among the pack in the area, but usually the Akotas kept their young much higher up and away from prying eyes for at least a year. Cleo patted Serghei’s shoulder, asking for a walk so they could move down the slope. “Why don’t we go say hi?” Serghei himself was largely unconcerned by all of this, but he was always up for meeting new people. At a steady, unhurried walk, they moved towards the Dakino. He seemed to be digging in an old, rotting tree trunk, likely looking for grubs, and didn’t notice their approach. That could be a bad sign. Scaring a wild animal could be dangerous, and wasn’t what they wanted even if it wasn’t.
