Terran Federation Officer Melissa Risk, aka "Risky," has been the bane of space pirates in the Vega system for some years. She has led numerous deadly raids against them on Vega IV and as a starfighter pilot destroyed a number of space pirate vessels. Accordingly, the space pirates have placed a high bounty on her head for anyone who can deliver her to them alive or arrange for her capture. She knows what her fate would be if she ever fell into pirate hands. She would be gang raped and then slowly roasted on a spit over a hot fire. Given her penchant for high risk missions coupled with the huge bounty on her head, Federation Intelligence has informed Risky there is a 90% chance that she will eventually fall into the hands of her vengeful foes but that has not deterred her in the least. Indeed, she has just volunteered to lead another high risk raid on a pirate supply depot on Vega IV.
