I've never taken part in an OCT before, so I decided to slowly edge into one with an NPC. We'll see how this goes! c:

Name: Corin Hale
Age: 28
Occupation: Librarian/Tutor/Misc

History: Born and raised in a well-to-do family, Corin has lived in Castellia City his whole life. Corin's father had once hoped that the boy would one day join the Warrior's Guild, but it soon became apparent that, with Corin's asthma and less than satisfactory physical charisma for such a lifestyle, such a thing would never happen. While his mother had hoped for the Mage's Academy in turn, which seemed more suited to the boy's nature, this also failed to take root. Instead Corin took after his own tutors, becoming knowledgeable in his own way, and eventually found his main employment in a large library in town. He also provides tutoring services in math, reading, and writing; letter dictation for those with low literacy; and record-keeping for businesses.
He currently resides in a small tenement building, a downgrade from his upbringing, but he is both happy with his occupation and his fellow tenants.

Personality: An optimistic, cheerful man, Corin is the type to enjoy helping others and having thought-provoking and enlightening conversations. He finds his work very fulfilling, and thinks of the kids he tutors practically like little brothers and sisters. He has a curiosity for other cultures and traditions, as well as for all manners of lifestyle, and may be tempted to be a little pushy into one's personal life. However, he largely remains respectful of others, and can back off when he senses he's reached a limit.
His asthma has been a pushing factor in his being organized and clean (dust and mold can trigger his symptoms), and he hates becoming a burden with his condition.
On one point at least he is very strict: the treatment of texts and culturally significant objects. Damage a book or scroll in some way, and you will have a very angry Corin on your hands... and by Arceus, return your books on time.

Species: Persian
Ability: Limber. Prevents paralysis.
Haughty and demanding, Salome makes sure she is not an easy pokemon to take care of. Having been taken in and soon caught by Corin while she was an injured Meowth in Castellia's alleys, her view on him has changed from a source for survival to a devoted and loving friend. She trusts and cares for him deeply, and is quick to be dismissive of everyone else.
The golden disk on her red ribbon is not a nameplate, but a coin she had stolen and treasured as a Meowth. Corin has made sure to keep her out of any real mischief since then, but has helped her keep this "treasure" as a sort of gift. In reality, the coin is worth hardly anything at all.
