Famicom Detective Club series by Nintendo & Yoshio Sakamoto

First Appearance: Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir (Famicom 1988)

Seiyu: Yuko Minaguchi

A young girl who serves as an assistant at the Utsugi Detective Agency, and a pretty solid sleuth herself. After coming to terms with her friend's death, she would make use of her detective skills many times across Japan alongside her partner, and that includes helping him rediscover his lost memories. Ayumi helps with the murder case of a family company owner, and the supernatural happenings surrounding her family's treasure that might be tied to serial killings in the area. She would also assist with solving the death of a young student in a manner similar to the serial killings and a related urban legend many years ago. Years later, Ayumi would travel to the countryside, and help clear her mother's name. Contrary to her cute and demure appearance, Ayumi is very strong-willed and spunky, and interestingly likes heavy metal music and is skilled with a Naginata.

Ayumi Tachibana appears in the Super Smash Bros. series as a collectible Trophy and Spirit. In Ultimate, she is represented in battle by Villager.
