A member of the magical Madrigal Family, and the only one not blessed by a gift of their home. She may technically be powerless, but Mirabel is the heart of the family, and one the others look to for guidance, though she does struggle to fit in, especially when deliberately shunned by her grandmother. When the magic of the house begins to fade, Mirabel takes it upon herself to find out what's going on and set things right, including mending fences between estranged and conflicting members of the family
