When Goku joined together with his pure-hearted Saiyan friends and family, he achieved the power of Super Saiyan God to battle the might Destruction God Beerus. While he failed to defeat him, he did seek to continue his training so he could achieve forms beyond even that of a god. As fortune would have it, Goku managed to unlock the power of the Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, which would come in great handy against the return of Freeza, and many other enemies that would come his way. The name is too tedious to say, so most people just call it "Super Saiyan Blue" for short.
