After years of designing Mario games and their levels from the ground up, the bigwigs at Nintendo decided "How bout we let the players design levels?" Along came Super Mario Maker, a level creator that allowed players to design levels using a wide variety of assets and their imaginations. Between the Wii U and 3DS versions, various different Super Mario levels were shared across Miiverse, some easy, some difficult, many inventive in their own way. They even brought back the Fly Swatting game from Mario Paint, for good measure. This game even got a sequel on the Switch!
