Description

For travel between aerostat habitats on Venus the Venusian Spacing Girls use various smaller airships. This LZ38 looks like a metal hunk but what you see is actually a very thin hard shell made of carbon tube composite. The interior is mostly empty apart from ballonets for buoyancy, and electric motors by Ammonia fuel cells.

These smaller ships are also involved when doing in air construction work of larger habitats. They are used to move materials around. Different aerostat habitats specialized in different forms of manufacturing. Thus cargo ships are used to transport goods between habitats. Although habitats will move closer to each other if there is a larger exchange of goods. Transportation and logistics work a bit different on Venus from Earth since the equivalent of cities, the floating aerostat habitats are not in fixed locations but constantly moving due the strong winds on Venus.

The winds blow in different directions at different altitudes and latitudes which means habitats can use the winds as highways to move to different places using minimal energy.
