Introduction

Hello everyone! I've been thinking about making my own closed species as of late and here it is!
They are called, Vasieaql. "Vasi" means "Guardian" in Turkish (it's also transled to "Wassi (وصي)" in Arabic) while "Eaql (عقل) " means "Mind" in Arabic. The meaning sought after is "Guardian of the Mind".

Vasieaqls are spirits that resides in khmissates. They protect humans and ward off the evil eye or evil spirits. There are many kinds of them to protect your minds and ease your soul.

For understanding's sake here are some things of importance that I have to make known.
VASIEAQL || LIST

Hamsa/Khamssa (Arabic/ "Khmissa" in maghrebian dialect) /Tafust (Berber): The hamsa is a palm-shaped amulet popular throughout the Middles East and North Africa and commonly used in jewelry and wall hangings. Depicting the open right hand, an image recognized and used as a sign of protection in many times throughout history, the hamsa is believed by some, predominantly Jews, Christians and Muslims, to provide defense against the evil eye. It has been theorized that its origins lie in Ancient Egypt or Carthage (modern-day Tunisia) and may have been associated with the Goddess Tanit.

_Khamsah is an Arabic word that means "five", but also "the five fingers of the hand".

Nazar (From Arabic, meaning sight): Nazars (charms against the evil eye) In Turkey, it is known by the name nazar boncuğu (the latter word being a derivative of boncuk, "bead", and the former borrowed from Arabic).

In such cultures, it is believed that if a person is complimented a lot, the evil eye will cause them to be sick the next day unless a phrase such as "With the will of God" ("Inshallah" in Arabic) is said. In South Asia, when a mother observes that her child is being excessively complimented, it is common for them to attempt to neutralize the effects of the evil eye (nazar utarna) by "holding red chillies in one hand and circling the child's head a few times, then burning the chillies." (source: wikipédia) [Personal note: In my country, we use "Tbarkellah" and "Mashallah" whenever we make many compliments to avoid attracting the evil eye)]

HISTORY

In small shops called "Charm", a wanderer can find themselves face to face with a Hamsa Maker. In the shop they are able to feel a bond with one of the charms and amulets displayed and get connected with a Vasieaql.

Since endless times, generations of Hamsa makers were able to make very special Khmissates. Thanks to their strong magic, they managed to give birth to spirits, attached to those amulets. These spirits hold many magical abilities, allowing them to chase away the evil eye, evil spirits or protect their human.
A Hamsa Maker's abilities come from inherited by blood. The family is scattered across the globe with one family head known as the Master. The Master is the strongest of the family and the owner of the original "Charm" shop. The Vasieqals born from their magic are extremly powerful and rarer from birth.
To most, the shop looks like a regular jewelry store but an otherwordly force can push some to form a bond with a Vasieaql.

"CHARM"
"Charms" is a jewelry workshop chain, famous for the beauty and quality of its pieces. However, not everyone finds themselves faced with the Maker who will sell them a khmissa piece depending on the customers' needs. They sell handmade accessories of high quality.

"The Makers"
The Makers are behind the creation of khmissate and the input of the spirits. The stronger the Maker, the more powerful the spirit is at its birth and the rarer it is. The family head is choosen once the previous one dies by picking the person deemed to have produced incredible or powerful Vasieaqls. It's a large family scattered everywhere.

"The Master"
The current Master is called Hamza. He is the current family head and is a middle-aged man with a strong Protector Vasieaql by his side. He is rather serious looking but actually very gentle.

Vasieaqls GENERAL INFORMATION

Vasieaqls are spirits that resides in khmissates. They have bunny-like ears, a tail and cloudy aureols which appearances depend on the type of Vasieaql and patterned freckles.
-They feed on anything edible and drink everything but water. They especially like sweet things but their likes vary in function of the spirit.
-The moment they are born, they become their own person and develop their own personality. At birth they are roughly the size of a thumb but are already pretty aware of who they are and what they are supposed to do.
-When born they have the apperance of a child but as they harness their skills and keep up their work, they quickly grow and reach and adult state. Once that state is reached, they stop aging but continue growing their skills and powers.
-Surprinsgly, they can reproduce and fall in love, most of the time with the spirit of their assigned human's soulmate. However, their child becomes a regular spirit, non-attached to any type of Vasieaql and only have the bunny ears and one single cloud floating above their head.
-Their amulets must be properly taken care of as they are made from different materials. It's advised to visit the original maker of your amulet for a checkup.
-When an amulet is broken/shattered, it can be repaired by the original maker.
-The amulet itself is always as an accessory by its owner
-The spirits have their own replica of their amulet as an accessory
-Vasieaqls can freely move around without their amulet for a long-period but eventually they return to it when they get tired. However, it is possible for a vasieaqls to cut tie with its amulet by cutting the replica of its khmissa attached to its tail. They become regular spirits.
-Vasieaqls can change sizes to fit a situation.
-The spirits are usually only seen by humans who have their own Vasieaqls but if they wish to, they can appear before anyone.
-Their clouds react based on their emotions (they go erupt when angry, they melt when embarrassed, glow brighter when happy, glow green when envious and look dull when sad)
-Twins that are humans of the same family often have similar Vasieaqls said to be born from the same essence. This means that some Vasieaqls could be considered related.

Companions vasieaqls

Companions are Vasieaqls that have the ability to bring a sense of general luck to their humans. They ward off the evil eye and help people feel secure. They are called "Companions" because most humans by their side are lonely people. They like to cuddle and are very affectionate in general. All of them have a clover shaped birthmark on their forehead.

HEALERS VASIEAQLS

Healers are Vasieaqls that have the ability to store your dreams in form of candies to replay them for you in time in need. They eat nightmares and chase away sad thoughts. Once the small globe floating above their head is full, the candies are transferred to their space. All of them have a heart shaped birthmark on their forehead. They also have a dark sclera and eyes that glow in the dark.

PROTECTORS VASIEAQLS

Protectors are Vasieaqls with the ability to ward off evil spirits. They have a floating orb above their head which is in fact a closed eye. Protectors have heterochromia with one eye being white. The other eye is of color and their third eye is of the same color as the colored one. Their white eye has a dark sclera. All of them have a diamond shaped birthmark on their forehead. Protectors also have long fluffly/cloudy tails. They usually have a weapon with them.

GUardians vasieaqls

Guardians are Vasieaqls who share big similarities with healers. However, they store any kind of dreams which include nightmares and memories. Dreams, nightmares and memories take the form of candies (Dreams are red, Nightmares are dark blue and Memories are yellow). Other that the sphere above their head, they can use a staff and like the Healers, once they are full, the candies are transferred to their space. Guardians replay those dreams when it's needed. They have short fluffy tails and a star shaped birthmark on their forehead.

khmissates

Khmissates are the amulets in which the Vasieaqls reside. They are crafted by Makers and can be made of different kinds of materials such as wood, silver, gold etc...
Makers always add a gem to their piece or many depending on the rarity of the spirit.

Other and notes

OTHER
-Dreams and Nightmares can come in contact with others if the Vasieaqls are too playful with them, however it is forbidden to do so with nightmares.
-Mischevious Healers and Guardians can duplicate dreams and pass them on to someone else as harmless jokes. This makes some humans share the same dream.
-Romantic Healers and Guardians are more connected to a potential soulmate than Companions and Protectors. Through this connexion they share dreams as well.

-This is a closed species so you can only acquire a Vasieaqls through my adopts or MYO raffles/events.
-You have the right to seperate your Vasieaql from their canon universe.
-Your Vasieaql doesn't have to be Arab looking in terms of outift!~ You're free to design it with fantasy outfit, modern outfits, anything you'd like!
-You may resell or trade adopts you bought but never at a price higher than the original (unless there are many artworks)
-MYOs cannot be resold.
-You can gift your MYO slot or trade.
-I would like to always keep track of changes of owners.
