Armor and equipment with Republic Dark Ops varies drastically from not only improved quality but also function. The armor worn by the late Director Amadleka, for example, is not the greatest armor worn by Dark Operators. But then again, judging armor by it's protective qualities alone would be foolish. While the Legacy Mk III armor system is still durable and having been coating in an IR resistant material, multiple features are still present on the armor, including an onboard optical dephaser, and holographic projector package. For increased function, the helmet is rated for EVA activities up to 9 Galactic standard hours, as well as incorporating several vision functions in the Infrared, Ultraviolet, and X-Ray fields of vision.

Onboard weaponry is limited aside from one knuckle blade mounted in the offhand plate, forged from an Obsidian alloy and infused with special qualities quite particularly effective against Force phenomenas and users alike. However, the Director is typically known to wield not only a refurbished Chiss Charric Heavy Blaster, or handcannon, but also a disruptor, known as the Vega Disintegrator Rifle. In addition to being lethal at a varying degree of ranges, the Director of Dark Ops has been particularly merciless in close quarters combat, wielding both handcannon and plasma axe into the fray, the latter able to be thrown to then return to it's wielder not unlike a Jedi's ability with a saber throw.

While perhaps not the most intimidating set of armor, compared to the like of Mandalorians or Imperial Marines, the sleek dark grey and the glowing blue visor can strike fear into the hearts of men. For the Republic had their own boogeymen hiding in the shadows.
