Civil Skirmish

Those joined at the hip cut deep to the waist. In a battle on the lines of reality, I disregarded those who discarded the world I saw. Illusioned by false beauty. Scorned by thin ego. Thread by selfish desire Knit firm by an ulterior dream. I cut bitter words at whom was no longer a friend but a fiend. Deeper and deeper until the blood we shared intertwined with one another. The bite of sour memories eating way through their veins. The bite of a behemoth I uncovered. I didn't care about any pain that would course the gashes in my mind. I didn't care about any counter they could throw back. I didn't care about anything they had to say. I didn't care about them. I didn't care. I couldn't.
