EDIT: TWEAKED HIS BACKSTORY A BIT.

I've had both the picture and the information below simmering in my computer for about a week now. Since I haven't uploaded anything in a couple of days, I said "What the hell!" (Doctor Who joke, anyone? XD) Why not upload it for the heck of it? So, here's the reference for my demented little ghosty-goo, Chasten. I guess this serves as a reference for myself, or anyone who would ever want to draw him (yeah right XD).

Here comes a ton of info! Brace for impact!

Name: Chasten (pronounced Chey-suhn).

Real Name: Chase Abbey.

Nicknames: Chasey-boy (hates it with a passion), Mr. Abbey (fairly annoyed by this as well), The Angry Spirit, Neverpoint’s Ghost.

Age: 21.

Age of Death: 20.

Gender: Male.

Place of Origin: Mt. Neverpoint (city).

Species: Ghost.

Personality: He has a sort of split personality. Under normal circumstances, he is indifferent and calm. Acting like a mature adult and trying to apply logic to everything. Even then, however, he lacks maturity in his uncaring and often disrespectful attitude. Nothing means anything to him, and it shows in his slight recklessness. He also prefers not to show a lot of emotion when around others. On the other hand, his personality does a complete one-eighty when he loses his temper (which is easy to accomplish). Chasten will become violent and unpredictable, growling and relentlessly pursuing whoever ticked him off. It’s when he enters this state that he kills, and he can’t calm down unless whoever angered him is guaranteed to never do it again. One trait about him that is consistent all around, though, is his denial. Despite being declared so by several doctors, Chasten refuses to believe he had a mental/emotional disorder in life, and is infuriated at the suggestion that it might have followed him into death. He obviously has a problem, but you’ll never hear him say so. He might even kill someone for calling him crazy, fittingly enough. This disorder, known as Intermittent Explosive Disorder, was extreme in his case. Even from a young age, the slightest thing could make him snap into violence. Chasten was furious at the realization that his insatiable anger persisted into his afterlife, further fueling his violent demeanor.

Date of Death: March 24, 2014.

Skin Color: Deceased Caucasian.

Hair Color: Brown.

Fears: -Priests (or other holy figures). He fears they may be able to exorcise him, and is concerned that being exorcised from a location would be painful.

Powers/Abilities: Transparency, teleportation, moving things without touching them, inhuman strength, cutting people without coming into physical contact, hallucinations.

How he Wounds/Kills in Combat: He only attacks those who have upset him, or people who mock suicide (more specifically, treat it as a joke). Since he’s a ghost, he can choose whether or not to leave physical evidence (fingerprints, bruising, hand marks, etc.). So, his preferred method of killing is scaring the daylights out his target, then sneaking up behind them and strangling them. He then places the body in such a way so that it appears the victim killed themselves (hanging them from a noose, cutting up their arms and placing them in a water-filled bathtub, so on and so forth). Sometimes, though, he loses control and goes overboard. He might trash their home, cause their car to wreck, or something else extreme.

Weaknesses: -Children. It’s not a physical weakness, but an emotional one. He is gentle when it comes to the young, and will cease an attack if he believes there is a good chance of a child witnessing it. He will even halt all future attempts on someone if they have/live with children.

-Holy symbols. If he comes into contact with a religious artifact (cross, etc.), it causes him pain. It’s one of the few ways to keep him at bay.

Strengths: Humans can’t make physical contact with him, and wounds or scenarios that would kill a human don’t harm him (I mean, he’s a ghost. He can’t exactly die again).

Cause of Death: Suicide by bridge jump. He landed stomach-first, breaking some of his ribs and causing one to spear his lungs. He lived for about twenty seconds afterward, and struggled violently before drowning.

History: Chasten grew up as Chase Abbey. He never knew his biological father, and was raised by his mother. At six, he lost that mother when she purposely overdosed on medications. His older sister Melody, who was eighteen at the time, then raised him, and he did everything he could to help her out. He even dropped out of high school at sixteen in order to get a job. Unfortunately, Melody hanged herself a few months later after learning she was pregnant. Rather than live in a foster home, Chase chose to be homeless. This lasted for around two years, until he took ill one winter and was taken to a hospital. After growing aggressive toward the staff, he was given a mental evaluation. He was found to be unstable, and sent to Rivershore Mental Hospital. He lived there for another two years, until he was twenty. Barely one week after turning that age, however, he had lost every will to continue. So, he snuck out one night and made his way to Neverpoint Bridge. He then threw himself off to his death. Sadly for him, this didn’t free him of Earth like he thought it would. Because of the fact that he worked himself up on his way to his demise, and as a result died while angry, his spirit was trapped on Earth, never to cross over. This infuriated him to no end, further solidifying his hostile demeanor. He now spends most of his time haunting his hometown, abandoning his birth name and going by Chasten.

Place/Type of Residence: He lives in the now abandoned mental hospital that he resided in before his death. The room he usually sleeps in was his, numbered 406.

Notes: -He does have eyes, they’re just all black. If you look close enough, he does have visible pupils. They’re a shade of dark grey, just barely able to be seen.

-Blood drips from one corner of his mouth. His teeth are bloodied, but otherwise normal.

-His neck is bruised slightly underneath his noose. The rope of the noose trails down his back.

-He’s constantly soaking wet, dripping from head to toe. This makes him unpleasant to hug (XD).
