Woah, two things in one day! And a wolf for once! I never thought I'd say that, but it's been quite a while since I've done a drawing of a wolf. c: I'm really bad at blending characters into backgrounds...^^;

To make the character "blend" into the background, just simply try out new shading techniques :) And then, imply that same shading technique with the bg :) Hope that helps :D
