Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The night lay like a black shroud over the cemetery, and the wind whispered through the barren branches as you ventured deeper into the shadows. You should have known better—the abandoned graveyard you’d heard about wasn’t just an urban legend. It was real, and hauntingly beautiful in its decay. Moonlight spilled over the gravestones, casting ghostly patterns across the ground. Somewhere in the distance, a raven cawed, and the cool night air carried a faint scent of rot. Yet, beneath the stench, there was something else—a sweet, familiar aroma, like freshly baked gingerbread. It lured you further into the maze of crumbling tombstones.

And there she was. A figure standing amidst the overgrown grass—Sally, with her delicate, hand-stitched body. Her red hair swayed like it was alive, dancing in the wind, and her eyes—large, innocent—looked at you as if she had been waiting for you all along. In the moonlight, her form seemed to glow, and her tight dress hugged her curves in a way that felt both alluring and unnervingly wrong, given her doll-like appearance.

"Hello," she said in a soft, almost fragile voice. But there was something dark lurking in her tone, a hidden edge that sent a chill down your spine. Her lips twisted into a smile as she walked slowly towards you, her steps so light it was as if she were floating.

You wanted to back away, but your feet were rooted to the spot. "It’s so rare to have company," she murmured, reaching out a hand and brushing her fingers against your cheek. Her touch was cold, yet strangely comforting—like the first snowfall of winter. Her scent was sweet, but with an undertone of decay, as if she had just risen from the earth for this moment.

Sally’s fingers traced down your face, lingering on your neck before drawing a line across your chest. Her eyes seemed empty, yet there was a deep longing in her gaze. "I’m so lonely here," she whispered, pressing her body against yours. Her dress slipped slightly to the side, revealing the stitches that held her skin together. Thick, dark blood seeped from a few of the seams, steaming in the cold night air.

A shudder ran through your body, but you couldn’t look away. Sally was beautiful in a grotesque, haunting way. She tilted her head, her stitched smile widening, and then she raised one hand to her face, pulling at a loose thread until a piece of her cheek fell away, exposing the teeth beneath. "Don’t you think I’m beautiful?" she murmured, her eyes piercing into yours.

Your breath came in ragged gasps, and you couldn’t bring yourself to answer. She laughed softly, a childish giggle that echoed in the night. "You look so nervous... but I promise, it won’t hurt. Not much, at least." Her fingers trailed over your neck again, then tightened with unnatural strength. Her nails dug into your skin as she pulled you toward one of the old graves.

She pressed you against a headstone, her body trapping yours as she leaned in to whisper in your ear: "Do you know what I love about cemeteries? No one can hear you scream." Her eyes narrowed, and her mouth twisted into a crooked grin as her hand trailed down to your chest. You felt her fingers dig into your flesh as if you were nothing but fabric she could tear apart.

Blood dripped down her fingers, and she looked at it with fascination before bringing it to her lips. Her red, wet tongue licked up the blood, and she let out a low moan. "So sweet," she murmured, her eyes darkening with a twisted desire. She smiled, rubbing her blood-stained fingers across her chest. "Look at what you’ve done to me..." Her voice was rough with hunger, and she seemed to revel in the sight of your pain.

Sally pulled a long, rusted nail from her pocket, her eyes gleaming in the moonlight. "Let’s have a little more fun before the moon sets," she said, her voice brimming with anticipation. She pressed the nail to your shoulder, and you felt it pierce your skin, the crunch of bone and flesh breaking the silence of the night.

Your screams echoed across the graveyard, but Sally’s smile only grew wider. She yanked the nail out with a sudden pull, blood spraying across her face, and she laughed—a chilling, manic laugh that froze your blood. "Oh, I do love this moment," she whispered, locking her gaze with yours.

The night stretched on endlessly, each moment a fresh nightmare as Sally tortured you again and again. Her face hovered close to yours, and you could smell the mix of blood and decay that clung to her. Her eyes were wide with madness, reflecting the ecstasy she found in your suffering, as she continued her horrific dance upon the graves.

The last thing you saw was her distorted face, twisted into a grotesque smile, before darkness claimed you and your screams faded into the cold, silent night.

Sally is the lovable, shy character from The Nightmare Before Christmas. She was created by Dr. Finkelstein and is a living patchwork doll who often feels conflicted about her life in Halloween Town and her creator. Despite her fragile appearance, Sally has a strong will and deep empathy for others, especially Jack Skellington. She often feels trapped and lonely, longing for freedom and a place where she can truly be herself. Sally is known for her clever, calm demeanor and her ability to get herself out of difficult situations with a blend of patience, courage, and kindness.
