I actually considered naming this character after this song.

I've only ever posted this character to twitter which was quite some time ago. I recently reviewed her design and popped this out. Get ready for another long background explanation of her.

Arcana is another character of mine who belongs to another species within my characters' world. This species is very obscure and I am still filling in the blanks about them as they've generally only existed in my head so illustrating them is new territory for me. Still trying to perfect their anatomy. Fun but obvious fact: Alyth, my fursona, was originally one of them but eventually I ended up deciding against it despite keeping some aspects of them.

I've always called this species 'Absolute' with the intention of changing it but it kinda stuck with me. u.u The absolute are an ancient species descended from mainly pre-blood era demons and bloods themselves. They are a combination of immense magic and brute strength making them a serious force to be reckoned with. They tower over most bloods including Nebula and her siblings. Nearly all absolute possess at least one set of horns, non-retractable claws, and a semi-prehensile tail. The tuft of fur and protrusions from Arcana's shoulder only exists in what is called a 'Divine' signifying their leaderships of the groups (referred to as factions) they live in. The divine posses the most potent amounts of magic within them and are known for their assertive natures.

Roles of the absolute: (more blanks I have to fill)
Divine - Leaders of their factions, manages, etc.
Sentinel - Guards and protects the Divine, each faction consists of one to three. A unique and commonly misunderstood ability of them is that they are overcome by a cryptic form of magic when their loved ones or Divine are threatened. This can be both a blessing and a curse for them as they are prone to lose their self control. Unnatural strength.
Mender - Born into healing magic, a faction can have multiple or none at all.
Providers - hunters (absolute hunt independently) Most common role, generally slightly smaller in size. Possible to be dormant in magic.
Fluent (Provider) - Although their abilities cannot exceed a divine, they have stronger magic than most providers.
Charity - Close servants of the divine.
Seer - foresees the future, can see years ahead or just a few minutes. Typically rare.

Anatomy (more info) - Slender, sleek body which is insanely flexible, rump is higher than shoulders, semi-prehensile tail, leg tufts of fur (some don't have this), skinny limbs which can produce natural force, two sets of ears, at least one set of horns, non-retractable claws, set of fins on rump and tail. Tail, ending in a set of fins, zero to five feathers, and a gem, commonly a singular curved horn on forehead. Generally a complex fur pattern although Arcana has one more simplistic. Large chest. Long body.

Extra notes:
Absolute are extinct at the present time, dead due to a fatal disease called bloodshed, they've been gone for so long information is only stored in the most ancient of books, very few bloods have knowledge of their existence.
Highly intelligent, there used to be a myth that they could answer any question you asked them.
Greatly feared
They enjoy playing mind games with their prey and enemies.
All factions are ruled by one supreme divine which Arcana eventually takes the roll.
The species is generally very lawful.
Their large lungs make them prone to lung problems.
They are very proud of their race and look down on all other forms of life.
One could say they're kinda just a bunch of assholes.
