The night was not a whisper...

The night was not a whisper of winds but a storm of thoughts. There was much to think over, supplied, and to plan. Though she had made a contact that was useful there were also the damning thoughts of how useful he could be. The signal on his neck was magiked filled, something she had run across in the past but not truly to this extent. How much control did the master of that seal have on his pet? Was it complete, compulsion. Or was it simply pain. Pain was a good enough motive to do most acts of wishes, like sell her out or snuff the life from her very body. A risk, one she did not have a full construct of concept over, to weigh. That was something that she would need to dive further into. Ask the correct questions to gain the knowledge in order to decide was he worth the risk, worth being trusted. Though her analytical brain was firing off there was a small part of her that wanted to trust him. If only for the familiar. He was after all her own people, though battled and bruised with the possibility of worse. Curiosity aroused while she lay in the inn's bed of what his life was like, which forced him from the shrouded jungles and to the streets of paved gold. Only to be enslaved in a new way. Like so many before him.. Bile was surely to follow if she kept this line of thought. Her people were proud and powerful, and should never fall prey to those of lesser standings. An unamused sound came from her lips parted, the woman rolling over to look out the sanded pebbled glass. A thought of cursing herself with the bleeding heart she possessed with the natural wish to live a more simple life. Thoughts of what her family dangerously whispered in her ear, that she could not save them all. Evident of how she is always drawn to those in some heart beak or loss. To try and free them from their problems. Perhaps she should just try and forget about the troubles, try this another angle if only to prevent the inevitable. The gods laughed at her, new and old. For she was already invested. Thoughts perhaps continued and the inner war was fought. Finally sleep won out and when she had awoken she knew what she was to do.
