Fighting depression induced art block, not too proud but I had fun drawing my OC Ilja as a young adult! I like to think he retains the same androgyny he had a child but carries himself very confidently & in an undoubtedly masculine way so it tends to even him out. Despite that he's actually very small, only roughly 163cm, but since his proportions are very shoujo-y people usually assume he's taller based on photos.

If you're wondering why he looks oddly similar to Claude is because they're second cousins and Claude is taking very heavily after the Volkov side of the family both in terms of looks and their (in my opinion delightfully) unpredictable personality. He and Ilja are like the perfect examples of Chaotic Good (Ilja) vs Chaotic Neutral (Claude) too and the Volkov bloodline is honestly one of my faves to work on because of the shenanigans and chaos that seem to be present in all of them haha. Ilja is definitely more of a rebel though and he has always had this sort of delinquent-like aura to him, except for the brief moment he had as a kid when he was recovering from the traumatic loss of his parents.

I have a full color shaded version of this image too but I really like limited palettes and wanted to add more unconventionally colored thumbnails into my gallery so you'll find the other version on my patreon tomorrow.
