Jingliu Unware trample story by xFiall on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

Jingliu walks through the lounge of the astral express, her boots clicking softly against the floor. She can feel the cool air of the carriage flowing across her skin, the AC set to a comfortable temperature.

She doesn't sense anyone in the same compartment; of course, March and Dang Heng are onboard, but they are elsewhere on the train.

You wake up dizzy. Disoriented, you look around, not recognizing the world around you. Everything feels out of place and strange. The air is cool against your almost alarmingly warm skin. The cold metal of the floor bites into your palms, the temperature surprisingly a lot colder than the air around it.

As you study your environment, you start to realize where you are. Giant forms in the distance that first appeared to be giant mountains are, in fact, massive chairs. The impossibly tall tree on the horizon turns out to be a giant light, its lampshade spanning out like the canopy of a tree.

"This couldn't be right. Why is everything so big? Why are you so small?"

These thoughts fill your mind, but before you can gather the jumbled mess, the ground starts to shake. You look around and in the distance, see a giant figure walking slowly towards you.

She is stunning, long silvery white hair hanging almost to her waist, pale even against her fair skin. Clad in a beautiful blue dress that follows her graceful movements, she emanates a serene energy. Her feet are clad in knee-high boots with tall heels. The footwear is dark grey with accents of silver and blue, matching her dress. The thing that stands out the most, though, is that she is wearing a blindfold that covers both her eyes.

You watch in awe as the towering figure moves towards you, her boots clicking against the metal floor. Massive tremors are sent out each time she takes a step. You think about getting her attention, but there are two glaring problems.

One, the best way for you to alert her to your presence would be to get her to see you, but alas, she is wearing a blindfold, so that won't happen soon.
Two, the other way would be to get her attention by making her hear you. But you are too small for your voice to travel the massive distance to her ears.

As you consider the conundrum, the woman has made her way ever closer, the slight tremors now strong enough that it's a struggle to stay standing.

You end up deciding it's best to stay out of the way and hope for someone else that you can get help from. However, you took too long to make up your mind.

The tremors are almost full-on earthquakes, and you are sent to your knees by the immense shaking. You start to crawl backward, your eyes locked onto the beauty that is approaching, totally unaware of your presence at her feet.

Even though she can't hear you, you scream out in terror as her boots draw closer. Seeing her giant boot rise above you, you raise your arms in a feeble attempt to stop the inevitable. You can't turn your eyes; instead, you notice every small detail of the sole that is about to end your life. It's smooth surface flat except for a crescent patterned tread. You can see the grains of dust coating her sole, some of it floating down towards you like a rain of small rocks. Her boots are slightly worn, not heavily used but not brand new.

Your world grows smaller as the unforgiving sole comes down. You feel it hit you like a truck. The hard rubber of her boot is cold against your angry skin. The entire sole of her boot covers your body, your legs sticking out under the high arch of her boot. You can feel immense pressure as her weight transfers to the foot you are under. The air is forced from your lungs, and you taste her sole as it pushes into your mouth. You can feel the dusty rubber of her sole against your tongue, the taste of rubber and leather filling your mouth.
It is a small mercy that her shoes aren't covered in grime.

You feel your bones creaking, your nose already broken as you are forced into the cold metal floor.

Then suddenly, the pressure stops. You are alive. The boot doesn't move, but no more pressure is being applied.

"Did she notice you? Are you going to live?"

Your hopes are dashed moments later when the pressure returns, but this time tenfold. You are instantly crushed, your tiny body providing little to no resistance against the full might of her boot.

Jingliu continues her way through the carriage when she feels something under her boot. She stops, wondering what it could be.

Has Pom Pom forgotten to clean up the carriage? Not possible, the small mascot is diligent with those tasks.

Jingliu cannot sense the presence of any sentient beings within the same carriage. Concentrating harder, she finally finds a tiny pinprick of life under her boot. It is so small that it has to be a bug.
Jingliu sighs, how this one had gotten onto the train is a mystery but nonetheless, she might as well get rid of it now.

Jingliu presses down with her foot, putting all of her weight into her step, twisting her shoe as she steps off the tiny bug just to make sure it is dead.

"Pom Pom will clean up any mess," Jingliu thinks to herself as she continues on her way, not even looking back at the remains of the "bug" she has just crushed.

I have not caught up to the new update, but I couldn't resist making something for Starrail 2B. I might do more of a comic for this later, not sure tho.
