again nothing to see here, just another scribbled journal made just for the link. :] will be a contest info. journal

:thumb154231514: i know i have this stamp on my profile page that reads "i don't do meme's" but what it really means is.... i do them "If" i feel up to it. i don't tag, i  don't have the time for that in my busy schedule. this journal was simply constructed 'cause i needed to provide a link to my "meme journal" button on my front page. please ignore this for now. this will become my meme journal....

:thumb285452546: sorry it's closed until further notice. IF in fact i ever decide to take the time to take commission requests they won't be for :points: it would be for money [US$] so i can buy kpop collectibles of yesasia.com. i have no need for :points: besides trading them away for llama's. i have no interest in a sub. as i can display my ART just fine without it.

Um just saying your anti *insert Japanese terms* are hypocritical as fuck. You have anime all over your gallery. Otaku doesn't necessarily mean they are crazy either. In the West it means anime fan, language evolves in lots of ways.

Otaku is a poor term because in Japan its an insult, it means someone with no life who is a basement dweller, but people in the west just took the term and tried to give it a new name, which to be honest sounds kind of offensive to me. Language evolves, but this is just hihacking a word from another culture and forcefully trying to change the meaning. If you went to Japan and said 'I'm an otaku' they'd laugh in your face.

Just liking Anime doesn't instantly make you a fan of Japan, anime isn't Japanese specific, Italy has its own anime as well.

Insult? Not really, it's no different then 'nerd', 'geek', or even 'hipster'. FYI kid, I know what it means in Japan, but like I said, language evolves, you think English words haven't changed over to time? Newsflash, they have. Words and symbols alike change over time. History is proof of that. By your fail logic you seem to think people aren't allowed to use 'otaku' simply because it's Japanese, even though somehow people can say things like tsunami without anyone caring.

A quick search says that its an insult, all references to the word state its an insult. And as I said yes language evolve, but name any other word that changed because another culture stole it and changed it purely for them? Language changes to make it easier to say, or write, the entire meaning of the word doesn't often just up and change, and especially not in this manner. When people say 'tsunami' they're not saying it with a whole new meaning, they're using it because its an appropriate term. I think you misunderstand me, people can speak other languages and use words, but they can't just take another countries language and change the terms around for no logical reason, especially without any consent from said country. Its disrespectful. Would you really go to Japan and tell a Japanese person 'YOU'RE WRONG!!11' if you stated your 'idea' of what otaku meant and they corrected it?

What PenguinMofo said. Freaking hilarious webcam!
No one else I show it to gets it but I'll be damned if that makes it any less funny.
I'll just have to laugh creepily to myself.
