The Bronze Clock (CYOA TG) by YasTG on DeviantArt (original) (raw)

It was some Sunday and you were helping a neighbor of yours with a garage sale, she had retired and was moving to the other side of the world in a few days and needed to get rid of everything she had accumulated during her life, it felt like money easy since all you had to do was move some boxes and put some items on display outside, all this for $500, everything was going fine until she called you and asked you to take a look at the attic, the only place she can't rummage for things to sell on account of the stairs, you promptly accepted the task and went upstairs looking for something worth something.

Upstairs you found several dusty cardboard boxes filled with spider webs that had died years ago, digging through some of them you only found some knick-knacks, building materials and old clothes that you assumed belonged to the lady of the house, looking deeper however you found a table clock, taking it in your hand you realized that despite its size it was quite heavy, another strange thing was the fact that there was only one hand and that among the rococo and metal carvings there was something written:

"Elige tempus vis peregrinationis et minuta sic movere"

After a quick search in the translator you translated the message to:

"Choose the time you want to travel and move the minutes accordingly"

Feeling curious but at the same time suspicious of the message, you:

Moved Much Backwards Moved Backwards Moved a Little Backwards Decided to Not Move AnythingTried to Move Forward

Decided to do nothing and took the clock down
