Reporting the current findings and behaviors of the mutation. As of today there have not been any anomalies that occurred during collection. I have grown use to the heavy stench of dark magic, and as heavy as the air may be, my tank allows me to breath comfortably. I have yet to be infected or influence in any way by the mist that permeates the infected surrounding.

Discord theories that the reason may be because I bear one of the elements of harmony. It is a solid theory since maybe collectors before me were easily infected even in the outer zone of the infection. As opposed to my condition, being able to enter danger zones with only a slight cough.

We are still unsure on how to contain the infection properly, as of now our barrier around ponyville is still strong. Thanks to the constant protective spell casted by Twilight.

Twilight hasn't awaken yet.... Discord said it's best to not disturb her spell, especially in her current state. Every attempt to dismantle her spell has been met with failure as she had placed countermeasures knowing we would intervein. Even the canisters of magic we use are supplied by her never ending stream.

The princesses haven't responded to our previous correspondence, it seems that contact with the outside will be limited due to the risk of infection. Every creature is trying to be cautious.

Cause of the infection is still unknown. Awaiting news from Crystal Empire as they are closer to the first sighting of the spread.

Sample that I had retrieve from the inner red zones have been sent to the lab, the team are working on another cure as I am writing this. Hopefully well encounter a more fruitful result to help us fight the spread.
