First trailer for Gaten Matarazzo and Angourie Rice's Honor Society (original) (raw)
A first trailer for Honor Society, which stars Stranger Things' Gaten Matarazzo and Spider-Man's Angourie Rice, has been released.
The new comedy follows a high school student called Honor (played by Rice) who is determined to get into Harvard by any means necessary.
Her plans involve taking down her biggest three rivals, though things take an unexpected turn when she falls for her biggest competition, Michael (Matarazzo).

The trailer teases Honor's plan, as she vows to "destroy anyone" who gets in her way – though she quickly begins to realise she quite likes Michael.
There is also a comic turn from Christopher Mintz-Plasse, known for playing McLovin in Superbad, who plays a guidance counsellor called Mr Calvin in the movie.
The movie also stars Amy Keum (What a Drag) and Armani Jackson (Grey's Anatomy) and is set for a July 29 release in the US on Paramount+ – we would expect it to appear in the UK around the same time, though that is not confirmed as of yet.

Director Oran Zegman previously said: "When [writer] David A Goodman's script for Honor Society landed on my desk, I fell in love with Honor Rose. I am so very excited to bring this great story to life with the help of such a talented and passionate cast."
Matarazzo is of course best known for playing Dustin Henderson in Netflix's Stranger Things, returning for Part 2 of the show's fourth season next month, while Rice plays Betty Brant across Marvel's Spider-Man universe, most recently in 2021's No Way Home.
Honor Society will stream on Paramount+ in the US from July 29. A UK release date is yet to be confirmed.
