This Morning confirms Rylan's return alongside Josie Gibson (original) (raw)

Rylan Clark will return to This Morning next week to co-host the show with Josie Gibson.

The news was announced today (October 27) by the ITV show's official Twitter/X account, which said: "Join @Josiestweet and @Rylan next week on #ThisMorning! Tune in from 10am on @ITV 1, @WeAreSTV and @ITVX."

It will mark Rylan's first This Morning appearance since August 2022, when he returned to present the show alongside Ruth Langsford.

Rylan had previously been a regular This Morning contributor until he made the decision to "step back" in 2019.

Later opening up about why this was the "right" decision for him, he said: "I haven't been on This Morning for about two years now. I had a lovely time there and learnt a lot when it came down to working live and going on to host the show eventually.

"I took a step back and I think it was the right decision for me to get out of that bubble of not really pushing myself. I loved This Morning, but now it's nice to sit and watch it from home instead."

After stepping back from This Morning, Rylan went on to present Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show, It Takes Two.

However, he announced earlier this year that he was quitting the show after four years, tweeting: "After 4 fantastic years it’s time for me to hang up my glittery jacket and say goodbye to It Takes Two."

Rylan added: "The time has come for me to pass on the baton to someone else and explore what else life has for me. Thank you Strictly, you will always have my heart… and my dancing feet. Ry x."

This Morning airs on weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX.
