Star Wars: The Bad Batch confirms when season 2 will air on Disney+ (original) (raw)
The band of misfits from Star Wars: The Bad Batch will soon be jumping on new adventures for the world to see.
The Star Wars animated series is set to premiere its second season in autumn 2022, the showrunners announced during the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim this past Sunday (May 29).
During its first season, the show picked up right after the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, where the elite clones had been first introduced.

In the show, the Bad Batch – a "defective" group of clones who yield special abilities that differentiates them from the rest of the clones and makes them formidable soldiers – are seen taking on various mercenary missions as they seek a new purpose in life.
The series received an early second season renewal back in August, ahead of its two-part finale.
The trailer for the second season was also unveiled during the panel, on the same day as the announcement, which hinted at a time jump as the crew appeared considerably older and sporting new gear.
The trailer revealed the Bad Batch's freedom will be put to the test as the crew will be faced with bigger threats mixed with the return of familiar foes and allies – Clone Wars' Commander Cody and Gungi are set to make individual appearances.
"I really love the choice to centre the story around a child. To find not just a soldier's way but how to raise a child to find her superpower as this world shifts from the Republic," Dee Bradley Baker said (via Deadline), who voices a number of clones on the Disney+ series.

The creatives behind the show include Star Wars small-screen veterans like Dave Filoni, Athena Portillo, Brad Rau, Jennifer Corbett and Carrie Beck, all of whom act as executive producers.
They are joined by Star Wars Resistance's Jost Rimes and The Clone Wars' Alex Spotswood, who are credited as producers.
The Bad Batch misfits are voiced by Star Wars alum Baker as well as Archie Panjabi, Michelle Ang, Rhea Perlman, Bobby Moynihan, Freddie Prinze Jr, Taran Killam, Seth Green and more.
The Bad Batch is streaming now on Disney+. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, as well as on Disney+, while Rise of Skywalker is also on Sky Cinema Premiere and NOW.
