Vintage plastic 1950s doll faces

In 1942 Ideal Novelty & Toy of the United States was the first manufacturer to produce dolls of the new plastic material, created during World War II, soon followed by the rest of the doll industry. The new plastic material could be molded, washed and is very durable which is why so many, now considered vintage dolls have survived through to today.
