On October 26, the Spartan Girls marked their first State Team Championship win, making their ninth State Tournament appearance a historic one at The Nielsen Tennis Center in Madison. The second-seeded team triumphed over top-rated Arrowhead, the two-time defending Division 1 champions.

Payton Haugen

On October 15, Brookfield East Junior Payton Haugen took second in the WIAA Girls Golf Championships for the second year in a row, finishing with a score of six (-6) under par. Haugen tied for first and forced a playoff hole against Beaver Dam / Wayland Academy’s golfer to become one of only three student-athletes in WIAA history to score a record 138 strokes through 36 holes.

Brookfield East junior Jake Zheng was named the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Champion in Public Speaking!

Zheng competed against nine other finalists in the ‘Introduction to Public Speaking’ event and was declared the winner. Brookfield East freshman Parth Dharmadhikari also competed in the finalist round and finished seventh in the ‘Introduction to Financial Math’ competition.

Elmbrook students Ashriya Rajesh (Brookfield Central ‘25) and Ceci Cornell (Brookfield East ‘25) have been named to the Distinguished Young Women (DYW) Class of 2025! Rajesh was named Distinguished Young Woman of Brookfield 2025, Cornell was named Distinguished Young Woman of Elm Grove 2025.

Rohin Gupta

Rohin Gupta, a Sophomore at Brookfield East High School, was selected as a delegate for this summer’s Youth Leadership Forum by the Wisconsin Board for People with Developmental Disabilities (WBPDD) in Madison. Each year, only 25 students from across the state are selected as delegates based on their leadership potential and active participation in the school community.
