This page contains links to semi-formal proposals concerning improvements to the Emacs editor or its packages in ELPA. This is intended for public comment and discussion, and ease of author revision.

• Discoverability of isearch options
• Framework extending window functions for Follow Mode (etc.)
• Package Management: one-stop downloading ALL marked packages BEFORE compiling/installing, to avoid nasty errors and a full-stop abort somewhere in between à la „package xyz is not available”
• variable-pitch overlay mode, similar to enriched-mode’s tag hiding, which simply displays whitespace differently to align text correctly (eg., assume 4 var-pitch spaces for a mono-space, 2 var-pitch tabs for a mono-tab, etc) without disturbing the monospace layout of the actual buffer.
