Friedrich Nietzsche was born approximately 10:00am on October 15, 1844 in the rural farmland named RÖcken bei Lutzen. Friedrich Nietzsche was named after Prussian King, Friedrich Wilhelm IV. He was only four years old when his father died from brain alignment and another tragic event occurred six months later his younger brother died, the cause is unknown. From ages 14 to 19 he went to a first rate boarding school where he studied for university. Friedrich Nietzsche joined the army for a bit but when on a sick leave when a blow to his chest refused to heal. When he returned he applied for a job at the University he got accepted to a position on the philology faculty at the University of Basel. He began teaching there in May, 1869, at the age of 24. Nietzsche's first book was published in 1872 it was called The Birth of Tragedy, Out of the Spirit of Music. The Birth of Tragedy, in effect, shows the German artistic spirit as the potential savior of European culture. He then for the next 10 years published books. The publishing's ranged from judging someone's overall psychological strength and mental health to view towards showing that Christianity is a religion for weak and unhealthy people. Nietzsche died before he was able to see all the potential his writings had on people. "His tendency to seek explanations for commonly-accepted values and outlooks in the less-elevated realms of sheer animal instinct was also crucial to Sigmund Freud's development of psychoanalysis-. He also challenged people to the fact that God is dead and that we should be relying on ourselves to come up with explanation for natural things. Cioran, Jacques Derrida, Gilles Deleuze, Isadora Duncan, Michel Foucault, Sigmund Freud. He helped not only to bring Nationalism to Germany but influenced many significant people along the way.
