Razorback recruiting target Malik Monk moving to Bentonville - Fayetteville Flyer (original) (raw)

One of the top high school basketball players in the country is reportedly moving to Northwest Arkansas this fall.

Rumors have been circulating for weeks that Malik Monk, the sophomore standout guard from Lepanto, Arkansas, will transfer to Bentonville High School to play for the Tigers this season, and WholeHogSports.com confirmed the news Wednesday.

Monk, the brother of former Razorback wide receiver Marcus Monk (who also played basketball during his time at Arkansas), is rated the No. 11 prospect in the nation in the class of 2016 by ESPN, and is a top target for Razorback head coach Mike Anderson.

The 6-foot-4, 180 pound shooting guard who played last year for East Poinsett County High School, recently helped lead the Arkansas Wings to an AAU National Championship in the 16-and-under division.

Monk, who is only entering his sophomore year of high school, reportedly already has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Florida, and Memphis.
