The pride of the Great Northern Railway, at least in Superior during the late 1950s, was a lone steam locomotive tucked inside the Belknap Street roundhouse. This 80-inch-drivered racehorse was the lucky one of her class to be pulled from service and saved for later historical display at Havre, Montana (where it remains to this day). This view was taken at night, with the lights turned on inside the roundhouse, in order to illuminate the great machine as best could be done during this time. I posted three shots in series...
