Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Bayern Munich superstar Leroy Sane**, sources have told Football Insider.**

The 28-year-old winger has gained interest from the Premier League giants due to uncertainty over his future with the German giants.

In addition to Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool are closely monitoring the Germany international as his deal at Bayern Munich draws to a close.

Sane’s current contract has just 10 months left, and Bayern Munich have opened negotiations with him to renew it.

However, it is said by those with knowledge of the wide forward’s situation that those talks could collapse because Sane’s salary will have to be cut if he wants to remain at the club.

His future being up in the air has led to clubs monitoring the situation on what could end up being a free-agent signing.

Newcastle and Arsenal both want to enhance their attacking options

Arsenal had been linked with signing Sane during the summer transfer window, but ended up taking on Raheem Sterling on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

Newcastle are in the market for a right winger and attempted to sign Anthony Elanga on deadline day from Nottingham Forest.

This position has been made a priority by Eddie Howe for future transfer windows, with the Magpies boss wanting someone who can invert.

Newcastle

Sane boasts plenty of Premier League experience following his spell with Man City, where he was a dazzling presence on the flank and his 135 appearances in all competitions yielded 39 goals and 43 assists.

The right-winger has made 175 appearances since joining Bayern Munich, scoring 48 goals and providing 50 assists in all competitions.
