Fortnite's new map for Chapter 5 Season 4 goes heavy on the Marvel influence that can also be seen throughout its new battle pass. Whereas last time we had a Marvel season, we saw a lot of Tony Stark references around the island, this time around, it leans heavily into Doctor Doom--despite the very Stark Industries-like object you see above.
That means entire regions of the map will look gloomier, and soaked in an ethereal green glow. In this guide, we'll walk you through the Fortnite map changes for Chapter 5 Season 4, which you'll see is aptly nicknamed Absolute Doom.
This includes multiple new named locations, as well as some secrets to emerge once Fortnite downtime ends and everyone can jump in for themselves.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 new locations
Epic has taken to revising specific quadrants or major connected sections of the map each season rather than jump around the island with differences here and there. This season, that results in the northwest quadrant of the map getting overhauled most of all, with three new named locations in this region.
Curiously, this could imply places like the the Nitrodrome are still intact, but as you'll see, they are there, but somewhat changed, and their bosses have abandoned the spots both for story reasons and to better highlight the new bosses coming this season.
This season's new places of interest (POIs) are:
- The Raft, which takes the place of Pleasant Plaza from the last several seasons
- Doomstadt, which replaces Lavish Lair after it first appeared to kick off this chapter last December
- Castle Doom, which takes over the land once occupied by Classy Courts (I'm going to miss that music)
For a lengthier look at some of these locations, check out the screenshots below, provided by Epic, which have our heroes and villains clashing all across the island.
