Statisticsis a subject that deals with the collection, analysis, and representation of collected data. The analytical data derived from methods of statistics are used in the fields of geology, psychology, forecasting, etc.
- **Qualitative Data: Describes qualities, characteristics, or categories. It is usually non-numerical. **Examples: Eye color (blue, brown, green), Gender, Favorite food.
- **Quantitative Data: Consists of numbers and can be measured or counted. **Examples: Height (170 cm), Weight (65 kg), Age (20 years).
The key differences between Qualitative and Quantitative Data are:
