The Least Common Multiple (LCM) of two numbers is the smallest positive number that is evenly divisible by both of them.

**LCM of 4 and 6 :
Multiples of 4 are 4, 8, 12, 16, 20......
Multiples of 6 are 6, 12, 18, 24, 30.......
The lowest common multiple of 4 and 6 is 12.

**LCM of 12 and 18:
Multiples of 12 are 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 ......
Multiples of 18 are 18, 36, 54, 72 .......
The lowest common multiple of 12 and 18 is 36.
