New UK Dating Fair Brings Singles & Brands Together To Mark National Singles Day - Global Dating Insights (original) (raw)
A brand new UK event for singles will take place this year on the newly-formed National Singles Day.
To mark the date, 11th March, the Dating Industry Professionals Network (DIPN) is hosting a brand new dating fair.
Aiming to help singles in their late-20s to mid-50s explore the many dating servies available to them, the UK Dating Fair will see companies and singles come together in one space.
In addition to educating singles, the event also wants to be a useful way for companies to showcase what they have to offer, with opportunities to run a stand, as well featuring talks and seminars throughout the day.
The event’s founder, Madeleine Mason, a DIPN member and the director of PassionSmiths said: “The purpose of the fair is to highlight quality companies that cater for the serious dater, there is no one place where there is a “collective conscious” about where to find these services.
“It differentiates itself from pick up artist communities and adult content. The idea came from a meeting we had at the DIPN (Dating Industry Professionals Network) where we speculated about a need people might have given the comments of some of our clients who seemed confused as to where to go, or who to trust.”
Held on 11th March 2017 at 1 Alfred Place, London, the day event will provide a mix of workshops and seminars all looking to educate attendees on topics such as how to create dating profiles, ways to stand out online and tips for keeping safe.
The day will also feature a keynote talk from award-winning dating coach and owner of Drawing Down the Moon, Mary Balfour.
Dating brands, matchmakers and additional services like photographers, personal trainers and stylists are also being invited to run stands at the event, to give them a way to communicate with singles directly, offering insights into the online and offline opportunities on offer.
Mason said: “Company benefits can vary depending on who they are and their motivation, but can include both branding, by being associated with high quality, and marketing, which includes a logo, info pack & email shot.
“Also, lead generation with direct sign up and informal market research, which includes talking to people on the ground about services, their difficulties, needs and expectations are amongst the benefits.
“Singles will walk away with practical knowledge from the seminars and workshops, deals on products and services from stands, and they could potentially meet someone at the fair itself!”
Mason is currently looking for more online dating companies to join the UK Dating Fair and showcase what they have to offer singles – if you would like any more information or are looking to get involved, you can email her at madeleine@passionsmiths.com.
