Electric vehicle charging stations (original) (raw)

Charger availability

Some of our chargers are either not working or are slower than usual due supply problems for spare parts.

Until this issue is resolved, there are other places in the city where you can charge electric vehicles. We will update you when more information is available.

Electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming a popular choice as a cleaner, safer and more cost-effective means of transport than conventional internal combustion vehicles. To support this shift, we are rolling out Council-owned electric vehicle charging stations to help build the network across the region.

The power used to charge vehicles at these stations will be offset by power generated by our virtual power plant, which harnesses solar energy from more than 47 city buildings.

How to charge your electric vehicle & make payments

You can use our charging stations to recharge the battery of electric cars, neighbourhood electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. Our charging stations are managed by Chargefox.
