The Doctor of Ministry in Hybrid Church is intended for students who desire to increase their competency in contemporary ministry styles in the current digital landscape.

This Doctor of Ministry concentration prepares ministry leaders to lead with innovation, integrity, and effectiveness in the dynamic landscape of hybrid church ministry, advancing the mission of the Church in the digital age focusing on in person, virtual, metachurch, and multisite modalities while remaining rooted in evangelical faith and practice.

Students serving in pastoral and/or ministry leadership positions will learn how to explain and present the challenges and opportunities in the current virtual/digital culture and implement relevant ministry delivery methods.

Career Opportunities

Ministry leaders are responsible for designing a model of relevant ministry that impacts the communities of their local churches. Special attention will be given to dominant ministry styles such as in person, virtual, metachurch, and multisite.


Course Overview

Innovative technologies and methodologies will be discussed and analyzed for best practices for local congregations. Students will gain insights about the current culture and how digital ministry is a contextual platform to expand the message of the local church.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for consideration for the Doctor of Ministry programs, the applicant must have a Master of Divinity and at least three years of ministry experience. Applicants with a Master of Arts degree in a theological or ministry field are eligible to apply but may require more ministry experience.
