Culture and community
“One of the things I’ve really enjoyed is the culture here. People are friendly, enthusiastic and ambitious, and I always felt supported both within my team and more widely. It’s the kind of place where you can see yourself not just working well with others but also making friends along the way.
“There’s also been plenty going on outside of work. I’ve joined socials, tech talks and learning sessions, but the highlights for me were definitely a cricket match (my first time playing!) and a summer party at the British Museum. These moments made the experience really memorable and gave me a chance to connect with people outside of my immediate project.
Preparing for a quant research internship
“For anyone thinking of applying, I’d say it’s worth preparing properly for the interviews. It helps to refresh your problem-solving techniques and some basic finance knowledge. Once you get an offer, following your mentor’s advice on how to prepare for the internship goes a long way.
“Overall, I’ve really enjoyed my time and would recommend the internship to anyone considering this area for their career. It’s been a great mix of challenging work, learning opportunities and fun experiences along the way.”
