Estonian Health Insurance Fund covers the costs of health services required by the person in case of illness
Our mission is to cover the costs of 1,2 million people for their health services, to help prevent and cure diseases, finance the purchase of medicinal products and medicinal technical aids, and provide the benefits for temporary incapacity for work and other benefits.

The first contact of a person with health concerns in the health care system is his or her family doctor or family nurse.
Early detection of breast cancer
In 2025 we invite women (including uninsured) who are born in 1951, 1953, 1955, 1957, 1959, 1961, 1963, 1965, 1967, 1969, 1971, 1973, 1975.
Get screened for cervical cancer
In 2025 we invite women (including uninsured) who are born in 1960, 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995.
Get screened for colon cancer
In 2025 we invite women and men (including uninsured) who are born in 1957, 1959, 1961, 1963, 1965, 1967.

The family physician information line is a nationwide phone, from which you can receive medical advice 24h, dial +372 634 66 30.

The service is available in Estonian every day from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Children are entitled to free dental care
All citizens who are under 19 years old can get free dental care from dentist who have contract with EHIF.
