Why do we love this Birthday Balloon surprise?

How can you make this birthday balloon idea extra special?

We didn’t think of it this time around but in retrospect, you can fill a couple of one special ballon with something special that would fit like a rolled-up paper gift certificate or extra birthday money!

You can also find clear balloons with confetti that make the ballons extra special!

How many balloons will you need per door?

Most doors in homes are standard sized, we blow up around 25-28. A good tip is to make a few smaller to be “filler balloons” you can tuck in between gaps so the door looks nice and full!

You can also do IOU’s for special birthday treats like a trip to their favorite smoothie or ice cream place.

If you create this we highly encourage using an electric balloon pump it helps in blowing up a LOT of balloons fast!

Instructions

With your crepe paper unroll and starting from the boom of the door while it is closed, stretch it to the opposite end at the top. Tear off and tape each end with removable tape.

Continue to zig zag the crepe paper and make sure it's tight enough to hold the size of your balloons. Once you have enough srips taped down, you can gently start to insert the balloons underneath the crepe paper.

If your crepe paper is too loose, tighten and retape. If it's too tight, take it off and grab a new stripe and retape.
