Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde play Sarman and Chaani in the period drama that aims to tell us the story of Mohenjo Daro, the ancient civilization.
Ashutosh Gowarikar returns after a gap of six years with Hrithik Roshan-Pooja Hegde-starrer Mohenjo Daro this Friday. His last silver screen venture was Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se starring Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Sikander Kher. Last year, we also saw his TV series, Everest.

Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde play Sarman and Chaani in the period drama that aims to tell us the story of Mohenjo Daro, the ancient civilization we all learnt and read about in school. However, the film starts on the wrong note - a grand set displaying a grandeur the filmmakers can afford.
Arunoday Singh and Kabir Bedi bring intrigue to the film. However, the language that Gowarikar has decided to pass off as the language of the ancient city sounds like someone is making fun of Hindi.
Mohenjo Daro focuses less on the historical facts and more on the philosophy of life.
Will Mohenjo Daro show us the ancient culture or will it be yet another Bollywood romance shown on a lavish canvas that doesn’t care about facts or logic? We’ll let you know as soon as we finish watching the movie.
