Jax Taylor Seeks In-Patient Treatment Following Split From Brittany Cartwright (original) (raw)

Jax Taylor is receiving in-patient treatment for his mental health following his separation from his wife Brittany Cartwright.

“Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the last few months of his podcast,” a representative for the Valley star confirmed to TMZ. “He has made the decision to seek in-patient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.”

Shortly after TMZ shared the news, Taylor posted a photo on his Instagram Story featuring himself kissing his son on the cheek. The Vanderpump Rules alum captioned it, “Trying to get better for you buddy, daddy loves you so much.”

In February, Cartwright confirmed on the couple’s joint podcast, When Reality Hits, that she and her husband split after four years of marriage. “Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she said. Cartwright then asked fans to “pray for us” and assured that “everything will be just fine.”

Though production on the first season of the Vanderpump Rules spinoff wrapped in 2023, cameras returned to film the breakup. The new footage displayed the tension between the pair, with explosive arguments that hinted their marriage was beyond repair.

In May, Taylor was rumored to have moved on with model Paige Woolen, after the two were snapped together in public. After speculation of Taylor’s new romance, Cartwright shared an Instagram Reel posted by media personality You Know Nat, in which the influencer and friend commented on the reality star’s treatment towards Cartwright on The Valley.

“Thank you & just imagine what I’ve been through behind closed doors,” Cartwright wrote in her response to You Know Nat.
