Fox is teaming with Vine star King Bach (aka Andrew Bachelor) for a new comedy.

The network has handed out a script order (with penalty) for single-camera comedy B Team, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The comedy centers on a former Navy SEAL (Bachelor) struggling to adjust back to civilian life who forms a team of mercenaries with questionable skills (called the “Badass Taskforce of Elite Assault Mercenaries”). Unfortunately, they’re not all elite and they’re only medium badass, but they’re going to fight for the little guy and protect the law — even if that means breaking it most of the time.

Danny Mackey (web series Aim High, Jackass of All Trades) will pen the script and executive produce the 20th Century Fox Television comedy. McG will exec produce via his Wonderland Sound and Vision banner. Adam Devine (Workaholics, Pitch Perfect, Modern Family) will exec produce alongside Mary Viola and Bachelor. Chris Case is set to serve as showrunner should the project move to series.

Bachelor, who recently hosted the Streamy Awards, boasts 16 million Vine followers and ranks as the platform’s most popular personality. Last year, he teamed with Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele for a Fox comedy that did not move forward. Next up he has feature The Babysitter, which is exec produced by McG and Viola. On the small screen, he’ll be in Netflix’s Joe Swanberg series Easy and recently wrapped Ari Sandel’s Netflix feature When We First Met, opposite Devine. He is repped by UTA, Christina Bachelor, Adam Kaller and Duncan Hedges.

Devine, who has the seventh season of Comedy Central’s Workaholics due next year, will reunite with 20th TV on B Team, which brings him back to the studio behind ABC’s Modern Family, where he has had a recurring role. He is repped by WME, Avalon and Morris Yorn.

McG is repped by WME, Management 260 and Sloane Offer. Mackey, who is currently developing feature Blackbird with Alloy and Lionsgate, is with Paradigm, Circle of Confusion and attorney Derek Kroeger.

For Fox, this marks the network’s second project this development season with a Workaholics star. On Wednesday, Fox handed out a hefty put-pilot commitment to Pigeon, a private-eye comedy starring Devine’s co-star Anders Holm.

Case, repped by CAA, Management 360 and Jared Levine, is also teaming with Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell for a comedy set up at CBS. His credits include Legit, Malibu Country and Fox’s NFL comedy pilot Havoc.
