I checked the Cape Town scene for bike hire recently, but instead had to re-route my trip to Johannesburg. What I found to be the lowest rates in CT where: https://www.2wheeltravel.com/Motorcy...fricahire.html https://motorbikehire.co.za/Hope this is useful. Otherwise, should you arrive in JHB the best bet is ItalMoto. They offer the previous models of TransAlp and V-Strom 650.Good Luck! __________________ Only when we pause to wonderdo we go beyond the limits of our little lives. (Rod McKuen) Reply With Quote

Best I have found GS Africa - Cape TownThere are numerous options, but in terms of quality/diversity/service/location/and friendliness, GS Africa got my nod and endorsement more than once. If looking for cheap, you can find cheap. If looking for overall value, GS Africa. If you rent there, tell them "Dr. G recommended you as his #1 choice." Regards,Dr. G, often times renting motorcycles on my loops around the globe, and I'll use GS Africa again when I return. __________________ Sun Chaser, or 'Dr.G', Professor of Motorcycle Adventure at SOUND RIDER magazine. Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
