Blaze forces evacuation of Gold Coast holiday resort (original) (raw)
A Gold Coast resort has had to be evacuated after a fire broke out in a bike shop below.
Emergency Services were called to the store on McLean St in Coolangatta around 11.40pm on Sunday night.
Multiple Queensland Fire Department crews attended the scene, managing to extinguish the blaze fairly quickly.
The store suffered some damage in the fire, however, no one was injured.
It’s believed the blaze may have been sparked by lithium batteries.
