2024 Salem Prize Announcement
The 2024 Salem Prize is awarded separately to Miguel Walsh and Yilin Wang.
Miguel Walsh has been awarded the Salem Prize for contributions to ergodic theory, analytic number theory, and the development of the polynomial method, including a convergence theorem for nonconventional ergodic averages, bounds on the local Fourier uniformity of multiplicative functions, and bounds on rational points on varieties.
Yilin Wang has been awarded the Salem Prize for developing deep novel connections between complex analysis, probability, and mathematical physics, particularly with regards to Teichmuller theory and the theory of the Schramm-Loewner evolution.
