The Mako is versatile and ideal for repairing consumer electronics like phones and laptops and specialized gadgets like coffee makers and vintage game consoles. With 64 precision bits, you'll have a fitting driver for all your repairs, no matter where.
The aluminum and polymer drivers are 4mm drivers of the same dimensions and can be swapped between iFixit driver kits. Both are useful for all kinds of precision repairs, but there are a few differences.
The aluminum drivers in the Mako and Mahi kits are crafted from CNC-milled aluminum, and feature a knurled texture for enhanced grip and a spinning anodized cap for efficient operation. These are ideal for tasks requiring repeated and long-term use.
Our polymer drivers in the Moray and Minnow kits are made from lightweight polymer with a rubberized grip and include a removable cap that can store up to three 4mm bits, making them easily portable.
