David Cumming was born on January 2, 1934 in Stratford, London. He was a writer and occasional actor, known for Sam & Janet (1968), The Val Doonican Show and Coppers End (1971). He emigrated to Sydney, Australia in 1984, where he worked as an after dinner and corporate events speaker. He died on 25 September, 2011.
