A fascinating, compelling look back at one of the most innovative cities and symphony orchestras in the mid-20th century. As someone with a musical background, I remember seeing many of the Louisville record albums in stores and libraries, and can only wish that I had appreciated then what I'm seeing and hearing now in this film. I applaud the city of Louisville, from the incredible dedication of their conductor and mayor, to the players and supportive citizens, for their vision and creativity. As I watched, I wanted to climb into my time machine and be a part of it. To the filmmakers, none of whom I know in the slightest, I just want to say thanks, and please consider doing more along these lines.
